Day #199
February 12, 2021 – I started the tongue and groove barn siding installation in the new kitchen today. I purchased the first batch at the Lowe’s in Mechanicsburg. Thankfully the highways were dry as I hauled it to the cottage.
The ground was snow covered and it was a whooping 26°F inside the cottage when I got there. Freezing my ass off! I got the little electric heaters going right away.
Once I had the barn siding inside I started the installation in the kitchen, along the river side. It went pretty well. I made it up past the light fixture junction boxes. It looks awesome!
Working off a ladder I know that this barn siding installation is going to take a couple of days. I’m here for the weekend so we’ll see how far I get.
